I am attempting to use the follow the leader tool to have marchers follow the border of a square and I'm experiencing a few different issues. I think my understanding of the tool (or lack thereof) is part of the problem. I have been able to successfully use the tool in a random drawn line or curve, however. 1. When creating guide points, in this case to prevent rounded corners, you can't click where a marcher is currently standing. I want to make a 16 count move, which would not be a full rotation of the square, so I wouldn't be able to create guide points at each corner anyway. It seems to do okay about not rounding corners but I haven't determined exactly how it handles that. 1b. Sort of related, I briefly tried splitting the FTL into separate groups in the same set to give better control over the guide points and corners, but when setting the move for one group, they end up on top of the next group of marchers so it is difficult to select the marchers underneath. This is probably more complicated than it needs to be though. 2. Occasionally the last several marchers in the order will not follow the group, but instead wrap the opposite direction around the shape. I have experienced this both with the automatic ordering and through manual ordering. My solution at this point will be to set the beginning and end of the square, and provide instructions to follow the leader. Thanks so much for any insight.
